Overview

Spiderex is an interactive guitar fretboard permutational spider-exercise trainer designed to build chromatic finger independence, synchronization, and fretboard dexterity. First released in May 2025 (PR #19) and rebuilt in November 2026.

Spider Mechanics

Traditional chromatic spider exercises follow predictable sequential patterns (1-2-3-4 across strings). Spiderex generates non-repeating mathematical permutations of chromatic fingerings across configurable string groupings, breaking muscle-memory stagnation and forcing deliberate finger placement.
